Andreas Dietrich
Geologist (Dipl. Geol., Dr. rer. nat.)
Dietrich Consulting E.I.R.L. is a limited liability company registered in Santiago, Chile, providing geological mapping services and GIS solutions for the mining and exploration industry.
Andreas Dietrich is an exploration geologist with over 30 years of international mapping experience in mineral exploration and related academic research with emphasis on epithermal to porphyry type deposits in Latin America and the Circum-Pacific region.
Extensive exploration experience in epithermal Au-Ag and Ag-BM vein systems, HS epithermal systems, lithocap environments, Cu-Mo porphyry, Au-Cu porphyry, Sn-W-Ag porphyry systems, diatreme breccia-hosted systems, and Iron-Oxide-Copper-Gold (IOCG) environments.
Mapping services comprise personal field work and interpretation of satellite imagery, digitalization into GIS (Geographic Information System), and interpretation of observations together with additional exploration data.
Multi-layer lithologic, alteration and structural mapping. Identification of lithologic and structural controls of hydrothermal systems. Vectorization of mineral systems from proximal to distal.
District- to regional-scale GIS (Geographic Information System) projects integrate exploration project data with public data sets (geochemistry, hyperspectral data, geophysics, geological quadrangle sheets, geochronology etc.) and own field mapping observations for comprehensive interpretation of mineralized systems and guided decision-making in mineral exploration.
Geologic mapping courses explain in theory and practice the traditional craft of geological field mapping techniques under consideration of the specific needs of mineral exploration project . For more details click here.
